Of all the in-state schools, how did they get the privilege of playing in Tiger stadium? If we are going to play an in-state bush league team, why not southern?

Because Les couldn't game plan against Northwestern state, would be unethical for him.

Just seems like a waste of a game meant to prop up another school. I get why though. I am wondering how they managed to get chosen over other schools?

USL beat the snot out of SU last year and you want this?? If McNeese were not rebuilding this year they would be the best choice over any other in state school. Southern simply S U C K S .

So with North Carolina, West Virginia, Florida, Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas on our schedule you would have liked us to schedule a amazing team? Nothing wrong with playing McNeese. We're playing UL Monroe too. I'm sure Tulane is tired of playing us, as is LaTech.

Finally talked LSU into sharing the wealth. If you are going to hire a win, then it should be the smaller La schools. We played W. Car. who couldn't compete in the Southland Conference. They are alternating a La team every year. Don't know why we got 2 this year. Guess we needed more gimmes

We've been rotating through all of the state schools, Northwestern is on the schedule for next year. We're gonna pay somebody a bunch of money to come in and lose, might as well be a state school.

could be worse. can you imagine southeatern or grambling coming into tiger stadium?

and on that note, i believe it is absurb that louisiana has this many public schools, especially when they're taking critical budget money from the flagship school

If you're gonna give away guarantee money to a FBS why send it out of state to App. St. when you can help a program in-state? It's good for home state schools that are suffering in the economy.

They were added to the schedule 2 years ago. If I were to hazard a guess, it'd be that McNeese was one of the few available schools with an available slot in their schedule.

It's their turn. The state education gurus decided that instead of giving all the rent-a-win money to out-of-state schools, we could just as easily give it to in-state schools.

Think of it as the LSU stimulus program.

McNeese and LSU are the two winniest programs in Louisiana History. It's only fitting. With that said, it's going to get damn ugly.

And in return, have a damn good tailgate party with our little brothers and sisters from up the road, an outstanding halftime show..and not to mention the money they would make could most likely pay for a new field or equipment room. If we played them 2 years in a row, they might be able to pay for some good bleachers too!

Also, I think playing Selu would be fun to watch. I live in Hammond, and would enjoy watching all my friends cry about us running the score up on them even though we would have our 5th string freshmen U-High JV team in there in the 3rd quarter.

We'd beat the crap out of Southern except during halftime, when their band would put on a clinic and get Death Valley rockin
