Many people didn't like the fact that Miles was bashed all of last week by fans and the media. But, for those of you who didn't like it and said he still had your support, you honestly can't say that he didn't coach a differant game this week. He did many of the things that many of his detracters had been wanting to see. He coached with an attitude and his players played with an attitude. Don't you think everything from last week is the cause of his coaching style this week? In my opinion (which means didlly squat) that is what finally did it. This was the most pressure and displeasure he had ever experienced around here. I just hope it wasn't a one time thing. Hopefully he continues with this attitude and his players follow suit.

I still don't like him. One game does not erase the shite he did to Lee.

I agree... I have been anti Les for quite some time now, and like you said, it is just one game. I'm still not sold, just thought that it was funny how much his style changed in one week. Only time will tell if it was a fluke or something he is gonna continue to build on.

I like the way he coached and I like the way his guys played. I'm still behind him and I do like the way he's managing everything right now, aside from kick coverage.

People keep saying this but its completely ridiculous. In his RsFr. season Lee was protected and "coddled" just like JJ has been this year. People seem to forget that not Les but the fans were throwing Lee under the bus that year in favor of JJ. Les tries to protect his starter and when Lee was the starter he got the same protection and when he gets the job back (which should be soon) he will get it again. And Yes i think Lee has earned time and surely Les thinks the same.

Why don't you get Lee's perspective to this before you get butt-hurt over how you perceive someone else was treated?

What? Played the QB that he felt gave us the best chance of winning by controlling the ball?

Or are you still talking about him putting the helmet on and Les sending JJ out there......Christ, plans change. We went from FG to fake FG in 3 seconds.

Lee has a set of balls, you should do the same.

I don't think he coached any differently this week than before.

We saw this beginning last week, as we trampled Tennessee in all categories but costly mistakes lead to a close game. Same outcome in this one (though against a better team).

Let me see if I understand you. The criticism that you and your buddies piled on Miles frightened him into being a "better" coach?
Seriously do you believe that?
Do you actually believe that a bunch of disgruntled crybabies inspired Les Miles to be a "better" coach?
Seriously? You believe that you are that important and have that much power?
Amazing! Truly amazing.

Im not happy with the last two yrs and the circus this year but to pick this of all things to focus is just plain stupid. You ever think he is trying to protect Lee and do what's best for him considering the fact that Lee hadnt operated in the best way under pressure in the past. You dont know what's going on, on the inside to make such stark judgements on this. We have some dumb*** fans.

And what shite was that? Lee underperformed and was replaced. That's life. If you aren't doing the job you will lose it.

It appears that they have a great relationship from what I can tell. I'm sure Miles has done a lot of supportive counseling to Lee for 2008.

A team that has beat 6 BCS teams is still ranked behind a couple of wanna bes and Alabama that has a loss?

We are ranked 9 because of our coaches, not our athletes.

As far as your "So" comment, i agree it will play out as it should so it really doesnt matter at this point.

Gray Tiger... WOW.... just came out of your own mouth..." If you aren't doing the job you will lose it." Les Miles, I gaurantee, is not worried about my opinion or yours. What Miles is feeling now came from the people who can get rid of him. That just happens to be the same opinion as the majority of the fans and the local media right now.

For the people thinking I'm talking about not playing Lee blah blah, thats not what I'm talking about. Him putting Lee on the field after JJ's horrid interception, and then pulling him back out basically as a huge frick you to the crowd is what I'm talking about. It was a dick move, and I said at the time I lost all respect for him. I gave him credit for the fake kick, but it doesn't erase everything hes ever done.

You are confusing "what you would do" with what kind of person Miles is. First off Miles, or ANY CFB worth his salt doesn't give a rats arse what you are any other board poster or media guy thinks he "ought to do". To Miles this board is irrelevant as is the Media, that is as it should be. You don't work your way up to coach at this level without TOTAL belief in yourself and the way you coach. He might take suggestions from his staff, but if you think he would ever be influenced by something like a bunch of know nothing amateur coaches on a silly message board, you are totally deluded about your importance in the world.

I forgot when stating my opinion that I turned into some megalomaniac. If you weren't some arse hat that looks at one thing someone says and blows it extremely out of proportion, you'd see that I think Miles will be back until his contract is out. I voiced my opinion that I lost my respect for him because he, again in my opinion, completely and utterly used a college football player to anger the crowd. Go waste your shitty theories of TD.com posters on the idiots that constantly say "My source" or "the inside info".
