So if Les has 4 years left after 2010 as it is being reported

given to him by Lombardi
doesn't this mean Lombari should be the person on the hot seat?

Both should be on the hotseat.
Les is the luckiest SOB on the planet. He absolutely sucks at his occupation, but he gets paid the equivalent of someone who excels at their occupation.
Add to that, he'll apparently continue to collect paychecks he hasn't fully earned for at least the next four years.
Where can I find a gig like that? The second I slip up, I'm done with no compensation.
Les fricks up almost every game, and he still gets to keep his job.

Fact fail.

The problem with Les is that he wins. He just looks fricking horrible while doing it.

the past 2 years he hasn't, and we have QB issues for the next 3-4 years likely

All Perrilloux's fault

Les will probably luck out with Mettenburger.

yes. Because it's obvious that Lombardi's only job is to oversee LSU football.

Exactly.
But when did college football become a beauty pageant?
Should it not be results based?
Honestly, why should ANY stat matter other than W & L?

the thing is les "just wins" until he doesn't, like the past 2 years
you can only play down to competition and frick up, only to rely on talent/luck so many times before it bites you
hell, we lost 2 games in 2007. to kentucky and arkansas. people just like to forget that

If sucking at an occupation equates to SEC, West, AP, Coaches, BCS NC, and winning 80% of our games, I can only that kinda sucking continues.

I completely agree. And, if we wind up losing 4 games this year, then a change may need to be made.
But...but...as of now, we are 5-0.

And? fricking everyone lost 2 games that year. UK and UA also happened to be pretty decent those years, as well. It's not like we lost to Vandy and MSU.

recently he hasn't won shite.

Slow, Les needs to get a pass for 2008. That was all on Perriloux being kicked off. Last year was an improvement, albeit slightly. This year could improve upon last year...too early to tell.

why do you say that we play down to competition.
did we beat van, ms st, and wva b/c they were better teams?

that doesn't excuse what LSU did on the field

neither finished in the top 25

The defense was a much bigger problem than the offense in 2008.
Posted on 10/6/10 at 10:54 pm to 1999
les was foolish for putting all his eggs in the rp basket in 2008. we should have recruited a qb in 2006.

our offense was decent in 2008
it was our defense that couldn't stop anybody that killed LSU. our offense put up 31/game i believe

BTW, where are you hearing this?
Last I saw, Miles' contract was not rolled over the last two years.
