Absolutely terrible. He was playing fantastic football, especially against the run. It's a major loss for the defense. Opponents will undoubtedly try to run to that side now.

Yes it is a loss. But it is not the huge loss that yall are implying. Edwards is perfectly capable and was arguably our best DE last year when he played. We will be fine

As long as he chills out with the personal fouls.

yes they will, or to an undersized mingo side...people dont realize how important he was...he was a rock at DE...

yes we are deep at DE but he beat out the others very quickly...he was a beast...

hope lavar and chancy can hold it down till he comes back..

It is a huge loss, but Chancey and Edwards played very well Saturday.

Look again at the UT 4th and 1 that we stopped in the 4th Quarter. It was Edwards more than anyone else that stoned that play. Absolutely blew up the OT into the backfield right into Poole's path.

That said, Montgomery was more of a consistent playmaker than anyone else at the position and he will be missed, especially as an extra player in the rotation.

Cool.

Will he be able to play every single down this year from here on out?

It hurts because it makes us go deeper in the depth chart, not because the replacing starter sucks in comparison.

I didn't see it on TV, but from what I hear it wasn't a chop block.

Chop block is when you are blocking someone and some tries to tackle your legs.

And yes, a chop block is a hefty penalty in the game.

the NCAA doesn't allow them. Nor was it a chop block.
