Miles or Crowton? Anyone know who called the last series?

Forgive me if I missed this in all the topics about the end of the Tennessee game, but seriously, what I want to know is who made the decision to:

(1) switch to Jefferson on 2d and goal to go from the 2 yard line after Lee led the team down the field to get in position to score;

(2) only had one play called (apparently) when Jefferson was sent in to run the option on 2d down; and

(3) substitute personnel with the clock running out after the option play came up short (not to mention the fact that Jefferson was standing away from center toward the side line (rather than getting under center) looking to the side lines with a "what the F do I do now" look?)

One can really question the wisdom/coaching aptitude of anyone who did any one of the above but most certainly numbers 2 and 3. Seems Miles is getting most of the heat but it seemed pretty obvious from Miles' post game press conference that both these decisions (2 and 3) were by Crowton and Miles was not happy with it especially the personnel changes (which, ironically, is what snatched a victory from defeat as the personnel changes is what led Tennessee to have too many men on the field so, wait, maybe that last decision was actually coaching genius after all - just kidding).

I am guessing it was Crowton and, sadly, is way too reminiscent of the Ole Miss game last year (not having a back up play called if the Hail Mary pass came up short but there was still time on the clock).

This. On the last untimed play, we did what we should have done on first, second, and third down.

That's what I'm saying. Crowton is in full control of calling the offensive plays, formations, and personnel. Miles has input in the gameplan during the week and that's it.

So, Miles should be blamed for allowing his OC to be consistently awful at late-game clock management, not for actually being awful at it himself.

Miles first statement today was he is the one responsible for all of it, which is the way it should be.

Fans don't need to know the internal workings of the staff, geeesh. Miles is the HC, he took the blame for a win today

end of story to me but 3 more days of angst Im sure

Are we sure?? Miles clearly lied about not having headphones!
Info from press conference from other posts:

at the end of the conference, some dude goes up asking about the headphones at the end of the game "were they disconnected?" les explains they were just taken off, not disconnected, then the feed cuts out.
&
He was asked why he didn't have a headset.

He responded with he took it off but said someone next to him had one but he "heard that he couldn't hear" (because of the noise) that's all I got

See LINK at about 2:42 He clearly has them on in the huddle just before the last play.

i also keep hammering why did JJ run over the right side of the OL? i don't recall one play that worked there all day where the left side was opening holes.i mean, to me, it's so damn obvious that Ridley should have gotten the ball (from Lee) over the left side of the OL. if he didn't make it, there was plenty of time to do it again, esp with a spike. Ridley is money. esp if there is time to do it twice.

Who knows. The last play (TD Ridley) was called by Miles.
