More times than not, a new coach is gonna bring in his own people. This means Chavis would be gone too. You know, the guy that's got our defense back on top. So, what complete coaching staff do you people propose we bring in? Assuming anyone would be interested, of course, in coming here knowing their head is on the chopping block from day 1.

I am very willing to honor CLM's current contract, BUT... GC must go! I am very willing for him to be fired or kicked upstairs TODAY to some temporary, admin-only, powerless coaching position and be replaced by Gonzo for the remainder of the season.

Sean Payton and Gregg Williams would be a great but unrealistic replacement.

Not necessarily.
He might retain Chavis, Wilson, Robinson.
You never know but Crowton, Stud would be history and that would be good.
Regardless, you have to cut off the head as that is the most rotten part of this beast.

I think an offensive coach like a John Gruden type might be open to keep a DC who has the team playing well.

An incoming coach would be a dumbass to cut chavis and Wilson. If he did, I wouldn't want him here, period.

Wilson is his best recruiting tool and chavis o's one of the best DC's in the nation.

Fisher was retained my Miles. Stop doing this to yourself. There is absolutely, positively no reason that should trump dismissing Miles at the end of the season. This includes a buyout, great recruiting class, Chavis, etc.
