Shot this son of a bitch last weekend on duck season as a bunch of them were killing calves on the ranch.

Got em with "00" chasing him down on my four wheeler, now dont laugh, but as I got up to him he had 3 legs, haha. I'm sure his brothers were responsible for the kills

Haha, the final weekend of last yrs duck season we went to this ranch, first time I'd ever gone there.

The cows started running about 3/4 a mile away once we got done with the hunt and back to the trucks. Everybody had loaded up but me. A bet was made as my friend said it was a coyote disturbing the cows. They threw me some shells and I took off like a jackass with the shotgun over the steering. I distinctly remember looking at the speedometer thinking 38mph thru a pasture was way too fast steering and throttling with one hand. I finally realized the only reason I caught up to him was because of his handicap. Oh well, haha, I came back with this thing on the back rack and my buddies paid up. My lab had no idea what the hell I had just killed.

Now that's a great hunting story! Thanks for sharing, I laughed out loud as I tried to imagine the chase.

Shot this sucka Sunday evening on Public land. First one I've seen hunting there in three years. I've read a lot of reports about coyote sightings and killings this year. This one was trailing some Turkeys.

I will destroy any of these mangy little bastards I can get my crosshairs on. Coyotes and hogs have become grossly overpopulated and I very much enjoy putting holes in them.

I love killing coyotes, when I'm hunting coyotes. But when I go hunting for deer I come home with a deer or nothing... not a bagful of animals that aren't deer. If you're looking for squirrels, then kill squirrels. Only children go hunting for one species and come home with everything else.

I'm pretty sure that's not how the Indians did it.

You gotta love the hippies that reintroduced these things back into the wild in the 70's and 80's.

Now there is an overpopulation of them all across N.A.

I say kill every hog and coyote you see no matter what youre hunting they need to be destroyed.

I started to agree with this statement, but if you are La.-Tx. border and see large coyotes, they are probably red wolf mixes....coywolves. Especially odd colored/acting ones. I'm not saying that gives them a 'free pass', but taking all of them down may not be the best solution. It only helps the coyotes. Coywolves usually don't tolerate 'pure' coyotes in their territory. Just sayin'....they could actually keep your coyote population down if you give them a chance.
It might be worth looking at web info on this issue if anyone is really interested.
