At today's Lunch with Les, they asked Miles if Jefferson would have to play bad in order for Lee to get some playing time or if Lee has earned playing time. Les said Lee practices well and certainly has earned playing time, however Jefferson gives LSU the "best opportunity to win." Miles then said Lee is competing and he would feel comfortable putting Lee in the game but playing Lee would be a "game feel and not something we are envisioning at this point."

WOW.

Not based on his comments today. It is obvious that Jefferson is his boy and they are going to give Jefferson every opportunity until he forces them to have to play Lee. (which I though already happened).

Will be a shame if Jefferson comes out, struggles again like he did against Vandy and we wait until 5 mins in the 4th quarter to put in Lee.

I'm all for giving them a few series a piece to see how it works out. Basically, give Lee a fair shake with the 1st stringers against a quality opponent to prove himself.

I have no idea how to interpret that ambiguous sentence.

I presume it means that the staff isn't scripting any series for Lee in advance and they will only play Lee if JJ struggles.

If so, that's a mmistake.

(P.S. Any time I sit by a beautiful woman, I try to get a "game feel.")

Miles is turning into a largely politcal coach. He THINKS and WANTS JJ to succeed, so no matter what he will try and prove his point.

Same thing with Ford, he said Blue got in the game not because he passed him on the depth chart, but because those plays Blue may have done better. All Blue did was run up the middle and fumble an option. I'm all for Blue playing as I am not one of the "Ford is the best back we have" guys, just give an honest explanation of why he is in the doghouse making him look like Keiland all over again.

People are Pathetic, he saying he "envisions" JJ playing well and not having to play Lee to win. That is all, you, me are anyone esle should expect. The man knows more than anyone on this site who the better chance is for them to win, IF they play to their best ability. Meaning JJ at his best is better than JL.

I didn't realize Miles had previously made a statement that Lee would not get playing time against Miss. State.
