quote:hell yeah. the writers of this show must be exactly my age b/c all of the music and other pop culture references are right in my wheelhouse. dule hill is way funnier than i ever thought he would've been especially after the west wing (which sucked)

this season has been fricking hilarious. i thought they were losing a step last season and didn't have high hopes for this one but they've nailed almost every episode.

i know tonight is a rerun. brainfart. my bad. but yeah, the banter between sean and gus literally leaves me rolling on the floor laughing

quote:same here; the show is kinda formulaic but it just works. the freddie prinz jr. episode from this season is prolly the best one this year.

On an interesting note: James Roday's real name is James Rodrigez and he is half mexican. Who would have thought his "spainish act" on the show was legit?

He's a real Renaissance man.
I could easily watch an hour straight of Gus and Sean montages set to different versions of the theme song.
Anytime they run is pure gold.

I bought the first four seasons I'm midway through season three, I watch like three episodes every night for the past couple of weeks. I love it. And to the dude who thought west wing sucked

west wing was so fricking annoying to watch. I liked the first season okay but I really grew to hate that show. I think it's Aaron sorken; outside of A Few Good Men I generally don't like the way he writes.

I'm in middle of first season but I could see the show getting too pretentious for its own good. I typically enjoy Sorkin though.

I loved Sports Night when I originally watched it, but I don't know that I could sit through that whole series now if I had never seen it.

quote:it's all just fast talking between sooper important people. as soon as one sentence ends the next begins. it just got really annoying watching whatever character walk down the hall really fast with people popping out of the left and right telling him 'Here sign this!' 'The prime minister of Ghana won't be able to make lunch today!' 'The parents of that gay kid that got beat up in Georgia are waiting in your office to talk about hate crime legislation!' 'Looks like civil war is breaking out in whateverthafrick country'.

Charlie Wilsons War was pretty good but he still through a few scenes like that in there.
