Pontoon boat......What the hell you gonna do with a Pontoon boat? Retake Omaha Beach??

Kids would you rather cruise the lake with your ole man on a pontoon boat? Or skim the wake with your Uncle Roman in a Jet Boat!?!?!

dude, be VERY careful not to put your fingers where the hinge is on that gate. I read an article where HUNDREDS of people have literally had their fingers RIPPED off because when the gate is open the ball guard that "blocks" fingers from going down to the hinge area does not do this at all. I recommend you open the gate on that bad boy and make sure you cant fit your fingers or a child's fingers down there when the gate is open, if they can, talk to the manufacturer about a replacement guard or rig that thing with duct tape

im serious about that

Here's a link to an article with pictures included about how those "guards" can rip your fingers off. Im not saying bring the boat back, im saying be careful, especially with your kids.

Nice looking party barge. Party barges are under rated IMO. If you are on protected waters and have kids or just want to cruise and relax they are perfect. They can get into pretty shallow water and don't take much horsepower to push along. I would look into a good GPS and Depth sounder. Most brands come combined today. Also a compass and VHF radio. Other than that fill it with beer and people

Make sure that you have a PFD that fits for everbody on board including different sizes for kids and fat asses.

Oh,forgot,a nice set of LED deck lights and a set of underwater LED lights. I can put you on to some on the cheap. Deck lights cost around $150 a set of 2 and the same for underwater LED lights. They use under 2 amps of power and are very bright.

How are you going to spin your kids around on a tube in one of those? You are robbing your kids of there childhood expediences on the water if you make them ride all day going 15mph on that thing.

Man up and get some speed in your life, party barges are for squares, unless you already have a "real" boat with "real" horsepower, then they can be somewhat useful.

He could probably do without the VHF. What are the chances he finds himself out of cell phone range in a boat like that?

BBQ Pit
Sound System
Tube to pull behind

I'd always makes sure to keep a shitton of sunscreen onboard, extra pair of sunglasses, and a tow rope.

Make sure you have more life jackets then you need. You never know when you may pick up a couple of extra riders. They don't have to be nice, you can go get a pack of 10 of the orange ones for like $25.

If you don't have any bridges to open then probably so. I just like having a way to contact coast guard without depending on cell phone reception.

If you ride the horn long enough, the bridge tender will wake up.

Its pretty unlikely the OP will ever have to call the uscg.

wind plays hell with a pontoon. I see the fishing chairs you mite need a trolling motor and an anchor. I've had one for 5 years, took the fishing seats out the day i bought it and just cruise in it. Mine only has a 75 four stroke on it and i can pull tubes and "pop da whip"
