Showed restraint assessing the job Miles and his staff did for the NC game IMO, but it's sad the players have no idea how much they're getting short-changed.

Les is a hell of a recruiter, but thats about it, imo. Its frustrating how they make great players look normal.

If the players don't think they're being short changed, then they're not. Do you have a link to any player complaining that they're being short changed?

STFU - I guess Peterson has no idea how much he is getting shortchanged...so he let his little brother commit to LSU.

Go play in the road!

another fricking kid thinking he is funny making a post. This is the rant, but these college kids are really making this board not worth coming to anymore. He can't show you a link, he can't show you a losing record, he CAN show you multiple championships...but he WONT show you that....it would make him look bad. He won't mention 52-15....he won't mention three of five years under miles lsu finishing in the top 5. If he does, he says it was saban's talent....lol...yet lsu still has as good or better talent.....critical reasoning skills are shot to hell and back. One statement contradicts the other.....just pathetic, uneducated people with absolutely no clue what it takes to maintain a winning program.

I agree, players are hurting from their decisions.

Did you hear the show? Obviously not. The players were bashing themselves after the game in interviews I have seen. Was the meltdown inevitably their responsibility? Chris was saying the buck started/stopped w/Miles and his staff.

I'm not a kid, and not trying to be funny. Be careful in your assumptions. Chris made some good points and doesn't "softball" his comments.

In breaking down gamefilm, saw several areas of improvement:
D-line and O-line saw improvement from last year
L-backers Ok
D-backs young (other than Peterson), but should improve w/proper coaching (bad technique in 4th)
Running backs - was really tough on Ridley not securing the ball correctly.
Q-back: did see some things that Jefferson did better, but noted specific weaknesses.

He still sees no identity in calling Offense (carry over from last year). Ran variety of things w/no flow or continuity. That's why we would have low #'s of total plays or have trouble sustaining drives. Noted that w/Jefferson his strongest suit would be to roll him out w/a run/throw option.
In his opinion LSU is NOT an option team - we should stop trying to run it. We don't have the personnel to use it efficiently.

Landry knows his stuff, and I don't say that because I agree with his analysis in this case.

Jefferson IS effective when sprinting out of the pocket with the option to throw or run. We saw demonstrations of that in his first few games, including the Peach Bowl win over Ga. Tech. He's challenged as a pure pocket quarterback, and downright awful running the lateral option.

I don't know if Landry said anything like this, but my impression is that the coaching staff has tried to mold JJ to suit Crowton's playbook, instead of designing a scheme that reflects the QB's assets and limitations. The offense looks like it was built around Flynn/Perriloux.
