Butch Davis skull fricked Miles last night in terms of coaching. I was at the game. I've given Miles the benefit of the doubt over the last couple of years but after what I witnessed last night, I'm heading over to the dark side. If not for the pure talent of PP and Shep last night we would have been beaten. If UNC comes in with their starters, we get a mud hole stomped in us.

That is all.

There were things that happened in UNC's favor that was pure luck and all of you are crazy for thinking otherwise. CoachMile's did not go out there and knock that ball out of Ridley's hand, Coach did not go out hold that defensive man and Coach did not go out there rough that kicker. All of them are mistakes and can happen even to the best of players at all levels. Yes it hurt us but we found a way to overcome it and barely pull out a win. You all can holler all you want but the fact remains all the Coaches can do is provide the Coaching and it is up to the players to be motivated enough to want to play and only those that want it bad enough is going to be the best. What happened out on that field was a combination of players and the Coaches.

That was the first game and it is going to take each game getting better to do away with the mistakes that were made last night as for as the points that were given up and taken away.

How is that pure luck? The UNC player made a great play.

He didn't and he won't.

Butch Davis was Skip's first, second, and third choice as HC when Saban left. Unfortunately he needed a year off after the Browns debacle. Timing didn't work, so we hired Miles.

If it's all the players' fault, then what the hell are we paying Miles $4 million a year for?

NO. That is not all that matters.

Game should have been salted mid 3rd quarter. Epic fail.

I'll be shocked if UNC doesn't end up on NCAA probation of some type. You don't discipline 13 players without basis. And if this investigation crosses over the the basketball team, you can bet that Davis becomes the fall guy.

What concerns most fans is the fact that it is the same players making the mistakes and they continue to play them instead of replacing them with another player. Need to send a signal that while you don't expect perfection that you expect the players to have the desire for perfection.

Coaches also teach and provide discipline which relates to all those mistakes. Penalties, bonehead plays, intentional grounding, and fumbles( other than when stripped) can all be related to discipline which is something we haven't had in years
