re: ideal 300 magnum - sigsauer
I've seen the CheyTac 408 successfully necked down in the 300s but most wildcatters have stayed around the 338-375 range. Even CheyTac has their own 375. I wonder how both cases mentioned would handle the stretching if necked down. ...

re: OSS suppressors reviews? Know anything about them? - sigsauer
I know that the guy that came up with the idea and design just left/ was forced out of the company over the direction and quality of its products. Other than that, supposed to pretty amazing as far as recoil and blowback reduction. It probably will be nice not to be blasted with gases and burnt...

re: Seek Thermal. Thermal imaginging device that hooks up to cell phone - sigsauer
I bought the last one the Beaumont Lowes had for 63$. Damn Lake Chuck and Sulphur stores wouldn't come off the 249$ price. It's strange how each store had different prices and would not budge even though the same store a few miles away had it on sale. ...

re: The Last Days of Last Island - sigsauer
Long story, Island was granted to Jean Voisin in 1780s by Spanish Governor. Louisiana and DC never really cared about who properly owned it before selling it off, if I remember correctly. Voisin's family presents the deed to the State and Feds, nothing happens. Deed was in the Terrebonne courthouse ...

re: Houston Steakhouses - sigsauer
Our server mentioned the crab mac and cheese, I may be kicking myself for not trying it now. I will say the other specials, the shrimp chowder was very good and the Kobe on the Himalayian Salt Block was pretty spectacular! A friend of mine asked why we didn't goto Smith and Wollenskys? No one ...

re: booking a catamaran through BVI - sigsauer
My wife and I really enjoy the smaller out of the way less touristy places you visit sailing on your own like that. We've had some of the best times on the two small deserted islands, I think they are named Sandy Cay and Sandy Spit. The only place I would probably avoid, unless you're diving, wo...

re: Texas HS Football Stadiums - sigsauer
I had a lease in Richland Springs a few years back, we caught a few games in San Saba I didn't know it was nicknamed The Graveyard. It was a pretty cool and unique experience. The crazy fanatic support from these small towns is an experience in itself. I also enjoyed the 6v6 football played in R...

re: Houston Steakhouses - sigsauer
Reporting back in with the verdict. Pappas lived up to the hype on here. The dry aged bone in New York Strip and Ribeyes were the second best steaks I've ever tasted and very much masterpieces of bovinity! They were only topped by the 4oz of Kobe I had as an appetizer. I'm just going to call that M...

re: Houston Steakhouses - sigsauer
I saw the short vid clip of 7 finger pork chop being served at Perry's. I have to admit it is very enticing. I think I'm still leaning towards Pappas. Vic and Anthonys has been said more than once, I just didn't find the one at the Golden Nugget that spectacular. Thanks for the replies....
