Personally, I am completely mystified by the decision. I can only say that the choice to give Bradley an extension only confirms my belief that footie is not taken seriously in the US.

I find it hard to believe that the guys here who aren't mystified by this decision aren't just rationalizing and trying to make the best of it.

Y'all are some doom and gloom mofos. They talked to Klinnsman and nothing came out of it. The problem is Gulati, not Bradley.

It don't matter who our coach is if we can't replace Donovan/Dempsey with equal players and find a forward.

Not going to say I think it's good if I think it's just meh.

I don't blame Bradley for thinking he could take it to the next level. I blame whoever makes the decisions for not trying something different.

We've got plenty of talent going forward. Stu Holden is turning into a legit EPL player, we've got youngins in academies all over the world. It won't get better until Gulati is gone, promote someone like Claudio Reyna who's been all over Europe and the USA.

Bob as done a good job, you cant take that from him. My point is this. He said he wanted the Aston Villa manager's job and would have taken that job instead of coaching the USMNT. I just wonder is he fully committed to USMNT. For all the good that was done in the 2010 World Cup, instead of moving foward we may be stuck in neutral. Look I know it was just a friendly but the match against Brasil speaks to my point. I know we are not Brasil, but they were not happy with their Cup performance. They replace the coach, called up some young hungry players and basically said World Cup 2014 starts now. We basically keep the same squard and look like crap. In 2014 Donovan will be 32 and Dempsey 31. Clearly our best two players will be on the decline. We need to start seeing some of this young talent now. Maybe we should replace Gulati and Bradley. I welcome your comments.

Gulati-YES.
Bradley- Maybe. Bob's not bad, and if he could stop capping Clark and Findley we'll be fine.
