So? Everyone with a brain knew that Lee wasn't going to play this year.

What did you expect. Before he signs, you give him the old "if you perform well in practice and show you are better than who we have now, you will have a chance to start" routine. After signing, the truth comes out.

What did you expect? No one actually thought Lee was going to be competing for the statrting position. Miles was playing the game and trying to keep Lee here.

Hey I hope he's right, but that's pretty bold after what he originally said.

So he answers a question about how a freshman QB is doing and gives the press some positive input. What's he supposed to say.

I'm not sure what he's supposed to say, but he did say that B.Bailey and T.C. would be just as capable as Z.Lee if someone were to be injured.

Wow...he must really see something in those two walkons to say that they'd play as well as Z.Lee this year.

Les was giving support to Lee in hopes he would stay. Now, he's trying to show that LSU is in no worse shape without him.

Also, Les is probably trying to show support of the guys we have at quarterback now, since their confidence isn't exactly spectacular

I thought "Miles was gushing" about him. What happened to that part?

He has to say that now. It's called damage control.

In other words, Miles was playing the game, just like Lee ... nothing more, nothing less.

Les just needs to quit speaking all together.

i will never understand why people will take a coaches word when he is speaking to the press.

The only thing revealed here is that Guilbeau hates himself some Les Miles.

I think 98% of us already knew that.

Not really intended for you Brageous, but once again GG takes a Miles Quote and paints it with a brush that is not even close to the intent.

Miles was asked about playing time for Lee, he indicated that the third string QB (which was Lee) is not really given any snaps in the game planning come game week.

He indicated that the walkons behind Lee would be as prepped as he would have been. He did NOT say they were as good physically, but just as capable from a prep/game week stance.

When it comes to honesty, at least Les tries to tell the truth.

GG will spin whatever he can to make his smug little arse feel more important.

The fact that most of the papers he has his shite published in have to farm out some sports coverage to the USA Today really does not bother him.

My position is waaayyyy more of a negative view of GG versus a positive view of Miles.

He's correct though. Both Bailey and TC would have probably done better than Zach Lee would have this year.
