"You can't ignore how many more games Miles would've won if Z Lee would've stayed at LSU."

No. no, no, the apologists have already begun concocting a much more immediate mythology: the schedule.

"Given how difficult the 2010 schedule was, 8-4/9-3 is a good record."

The irony is Miles biggest supporters were the ones making ZLee the messiah. Now they are turning on ZLee.

This is the year that will make or break Les Miles, so I don't see what it really matters in the big picture. Lee wasn't going to play much if at all this season.

I can't believe all the angst on this board about one man leaving. If your hope and dreams were resting on the shoulders of an incoming freshman then you have real issues. The man chose a professional sports career over LSU not a life of crime such as perilou. Folks get a grip on reality!

Hardly. Perriloux was a proven talent who started in (and won) the SECCG before being booted off the team.

It is very hard for alot of LSU fans to even consider reality.
They also get too involved in the half truths of the internet and repeat the same things over and over until it becomes like facts in their heads. I must have seen the whole thing about the owner of the Dodgers not being able to afford Lee posted on here 125 times. Stuff like that and the fact that Lee was living in BR and working out with the team really doesn't change the fact that he was a first round pick and was going to be offered alot of money to go pro.

Well, Miles's coaches better have done a good job with JJ and JL. You can consistently recruit top 10 classes, but it's the coaching to improve them that matters. We will know this year.

i don't think the people are supporting miles. i believe they are supporting lsu. he is the coach. Some do not believe bashing their coach or team on a message board will do any good.

I don't think people apologize for les miles. i think some people don't look at every situation as a castrophe.

Some people rather look to THIS YEAR and see if THESE players can have a good season. Me, I'll worry about 2012 when 2012 comes. nothing i can do about it.
