I am about to buy a Remington R-25 .308, it's the AR version.

I would like an adjustable scope that is caliber friendly. I know Nikon makes one for the 223 but, I haven't found one for the 308 yet. I would like the Mil Dot or DOA recticle. Anyone have something like this or what do you have on your rig if you have an AR style rifle.

Looking for ideas, just want to make sure that I get what I will want 10 years from now.

Preferably under 1200.

Sorry I'm not helping, but are you going to be deer hunting with this gun? I like the look of the AR but can't justify spending the money on one unless I could hunt with it and the AR-25 caught my eye also.

I have a Bushmaster AR chambered in .450 Bushmaster. Sweet pig or whitetail gun, I use a Leupold VXIII 3.5 X 10 40MM obj, duplex reticle. I have no experience with Mil Dot reticles. The Leupold has held up well, and it sits well on the gun even with the funky eye relief caused by the mounting relationship with the carbine stock length.
