I was dreaming today of the following scenario…

On Offense:
1) Our O-Line is able to block enough so that Jefferson rarely scrambles and never gets sacked.
2) Toliver and Randle are so productive that they each see double teaming on a regular basis, opening the door for Shepard and D Peterson to be deadly in the passing game!
3) Russell Shepard in the Wild Tiger THROWING a touchdown pass on more than one occasion.
4) Richard Murphy staying healthy and being a nightmare to opposing D’s receiving passes out the backfield.
5) A true fullback steps up, who is spectacular at opening holes for our RB’s, and is also a valid threat to rush or catch out the backfield.
6) Spencer Ware and Michael Ford being a two-headed rushing monster, who together average 200 yds a game.
7) Jordan Jefferson being named one of the top 3 QB’s in the SEC by mid-season.
On Defence:
1) A D-Line that reminds us of our championship seasons… A line that singlehandedly dominates the game. A DT that is Glenn Dorsey-esque? A DE that spends most of his time in the backfield disrupting plays and sacking QB’s.
2) Ryan Baker, Kelvin Shephard, and whoever else starts at LB being the best in recent memory… Flying all over the field making plays and striking fear into QB’s and RB’s.
3) A safety (hopefully Loston) that is brutal and gives hits that make everyone go “oooohhhhhh.” A la Craig Steltz!
4) Patrick Peterson completely cutting the field in half with his shutdown ability and allowing Claiborne to be our interception leader.
5) Our Defense giving up only 6 points a game on average.
Finale:
LSU wins SEC and National Championship proving that the last two years were just rebuilding years and we all worried for nothing.
If this could only become reality!!!
