Given the 'Remake' trend that we find ourselves in...

Name some remakes of movies that are not already in the works that you think will be remade soon (whether they should be or not).
I'll start: Jaws.

It's not gonna happen, but years ago there was talk that Ben Affleck and JLo were planning a remake of Casablanca, starring them. God bless the studio head who 86'ed that impending crime against humanity.
I bet they try to redo The Last Starfighter. That sounds about right.

I think there were too many really terrible Jaws sequels to see a remake of the original. Plus, sea monster movies appear relegated to the Syfy channel these days starring Lorenzo Lamas and Tiffany. Or an epic Tiffany versus Debbie Gibson girlfight!

Casablanca? Man there should be a rule against making a true, all-time great film.

What about Enemy Mine? I would probably go see that.

I think there is an unwritten one, which is why I think it got axed, thank god.
Can you imagine a Casablanca remake with Bennifer in the leading roles? There would have been rioting in the streets - led by me.

There were plenty of terrible Superman and Batman sequels, but those both got remade and/or rebooted.

I'm surprised Sneakers hasn't been remade yet, just because of the subject matter. Just tweak it a little, and you can make it relevant to today's events

Big Trouble in Little China with Jason Statham as Jack Burton

I guarantee we will see a Weird Science and WarGames remake within the next 5 years.

I love the movie Time After Time, but I wouldn't mind seeing a grittier more modern version.

Short Circuit.
Dune.
Could easily see them remaking The Last Starfighter.

They have already tried Dune twice and a third is already in the works.

Wraith but without a chrysler car
Labyrinth - w/o Bowie
Summer School - keep Marc Harmon but rename character to TJ Gibbs - I'd watch
Days of Thunder - kill the love story, make sure Cruise isn't involved and make the wrecks/racing seem realistic
not remake but sequel - Any Given Sunday

The Neverending Story
Guillermo del Toro would knock it right out of the park. Imagine this scene done by del Toro.

Well, I am not sure it is a foregone conclusion that they follow through and make the movie.
It has already been delayed by Peter Berg leaving to direct Battleship.
