If you had a choice between Julio Jones or Patrick Peterson who would you choose?

My friend (Alabama fan) and I have been arguing about it and I just wanted to get some input.

TIA

Shutdown Corners>>>>>Possession Receivers

Every single coach in the country would agree with that.

Peterson by a mile, Julio was a damn ghost when Peterson was in the game. There are probably 2-3 WRs just in the SEC that I'd take over Julio.

JJ wasn't even the best WR on his own team, was he?

PP is the best corner in the nation

I would take Peterson and let him play offense, before I took Jones and let him try to play defense.

PP7 all day. At times he is a little too aggresive and will give up the big play, but that pick against alabama on the sideline shows why he is the best in the nation

Any wide receiver that cannot be single covered is a good WR - Julio is a pretty good WR - this year will really be the tell tale.

With that being said - PP single covered Julio, AJ and several others - Anyone that can play "D" on an island is far more valuable to a team.

Shouldn't be close. I would bet if you asked coaches who they would take, Peterson would win in a landslide. Receivers are more easily replaced than elite corners.

Not really a fair argument to match up the 2nd to 6th best WR in the SEC against the nation's top CB.
