It's looking increasingly likely that the Macondo site will have to be evacuated for TS Bonnie. In yesterday's briefings, both Adm. Allen and Kent Wells stated that they now have enough confidence in the capping stack to leave it in place during that time. Different vehicles and platforms have different speeds so some can stay longer than others. The ROV tenders are relatively fast so they will be some of the last to go and first to return. The site should only be completely unattended for a couple of days.

For those that were wondering why bother with a capping stack when they could just collect all of the oil, this is why.

ROV ships not going to have to come in unless the seas get to 15' I read. Last sea prediction maxes out at 12. Rov's might never leave? Somehow I feel they will leave though.
