on display at USC is being returned to the Heisman organization and he's being disassociated from the school.

My question is why have they kept O.J. Simpson's Heisman trophy on display?

Any thoughts or comments. I would have thought that he'd have been long disassociated from USC.

why wouldn't USC keep it on display. He was pronounced innocent.

He was eligible when he won it.

they are doing all of that to try to get their sanctions reduced. Probably hoping for one year bowl ban instead of two.

Removing OJ's shite won't help them with the NCAA.

I also believe he's currently in jail on other charges that he was found guilty of later.

But I do see the point of NCAA infractions being the underlying reason for disassociation. OJ wasn't enrolled in school when all the other stuff happened.

I was wondering what the thoughts were and I found out.

Here is my question, does Vince Young get the Heisman now, and if so should sports.com reward me my money for the Vince Young Heisman bet back in the day?

Reggie did his "illegals" while a member of the football team at USC

OJ slit two people into pieces while he was a fan of USC

no comparison, hell cheating is way worse than murder anyway

Reggie hasn't been stripped of the heisman. USC just gave their copy back

Bush earned his as well whether eligible or ineligible, dude had an amazing year when he won. His eligibility didn't have anything to do with how he played on the field.

Technically he never played that year. All his records will be wiped from the books. So his eligibility is the main point of giving back the Heisman, since it never really happened.

I was looking for comments and opinions and I got them. A lot of good points made. I respect them all.

End the thread and come up with other items to chew on.
