I was only 9, it was June 8th 1996 and I was with my sister for her b-day...it was a duel celebration.

I was 7 years old. It was one of my first real memories of an LSU sporting event.

This is the single most exciting play I have ever seen in baseball. I have never seen a team down to its last out in the championship game go from being behind to winning the championship with one swing. If Morris gets under the ball and flies out to right field, Miami wins the championship. But by hitting the home run, LSU went from runnerup to champion.

I have seen many walkoff homeruns over the years, but never have I seen a walkoff homerun in a team's last at bat in the deciding game that turned the team from runnerup to champion.

I never get tired of watching this play.

and by a player who, if I remember correctly, had not hit a hr all year long...chances were basically nonexistent....

I sometimes get choked up thinking about it without seeing the video. I will alway remember several things in life.. High school Grad., getting my first car, getting married, and Morris' homerun...all in no particular order.

This is the single one event that everyone who was alive when it happened remembers where they were and what they were doing. It is the most thrilling moment in my entire life in all of sports and next was when the Saints won the Super Bowl.

The one thing I had heard all my life was that there was no way the Saints could win the Super Bowl because of them being named the Saints. But, Morris' homerun was without a doubt the single most thrilling moment in my life!

1. Morris' walkoff home run to win the CWS
2. The Saints winning the Super Bowl
In that order and there is no doubt in my mind.
