re: Louisiana waterfalls
Google "Tunica Falls" and look at the images.

IMHO, no, it's not worth going there in this heat. When it cools down a bit, it's a nice little hike though.

re: Louisiana waterfalls
Sicily Island Hill's WMA has two. One (St Mary's?) is pretty nice after a good thunderstorm. Interesting terrain for LA.

re: Louisiana waterfalls
Know what the highest waterfall ever in Louisiana was? LINK

Watch from 7:36 - 7:47. You can also get a glimpses at 4:41, 5:41, 6:27 - 6:31 6:20 - 6:52, and 7:23.

Although not really about a "waterfall", it still makes an interesting story.

re: Louisiana waterfalls
Don't go chasing waterfalls. Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to.

Yes, Iguazu, Victoria, Niagara, Angel, Yosemite, and Sutherland falls are all outside of Baton Rouge and all are worth a visit.

The Baton Rouge waterfalls are pretty lame though.
