Flies at the table, poor service and overpriced food. We will not be back. The beer was good though. Free food would not even get me back there!

My family went to Zea's on Clearview around 12:30 and it was 60-90 min wait for a party of 7. We waited 5 min and decided to go to Byblos on Metairie Rd. Turned out to be an excellent decision.

Never been a big fan on Zea's. Not sure how long the one in BR has been open, but we had one in Mobile for years b/4 I moved to BR and I always thought it was over rated.

I will be the oddball in this thread. I have always enjoyed my visits to Zeas. Eat at either the Metairie or Harahan location 3 or 4 times a year and have never had a problem.
Would certainly never consider anything they serve as being overpriced.

I have not necessarily have had a bad experience, service and atmosphere has been fine, but I have not had that wow factor in the food department (expect the Thai ribs). but different strokes for different folks.

Try the BR location, if you dont like it then there is something wrong with you, try the thai ribs and the shrimp appetizer

I've had a couple of bad experiences there but overall it's usually pretty solid

1. Don't ever order seared tuna there. The first indication that they'll probably frick it up is when the idiot bitch server asks you how you want it cooked when you order it.

2. Who the hell puts prime rib on a grill? That shite is terrible.

I actually like the sides at Zea more than anything else. The mediterranean hummus app is the shite as are the corn grits. I don't think I'd actually shell out money for any of their shitty entrees though

I made that mistake once. Actually I didn't read it just ordered and I couldn't eat but a few bites.

Best two items on the menu.

They do red beans pretty good. I'm with you though, I normally just eat appetizers. Good wine selection though.

I've been to the BR and St Charles one and have been thoroughly impressed with the food and service all times. The thai ribs are ridiculously good.
