I accidentally hit "submit" before I finished my post...

Ranaudo is gone.
Ross is gone.
Bedrosian probably signs
Let's assume Lee signs...
What do we have for pitching?

Out of these... Alsup is the only one that looked strong to me. I'm not counting Ott since he's a closer. I think Matulis showed some promise. Am I right or wrong?

I wouldn't say Ott is out of the running to be a starter. If we get Lee, and I think we could, then Ott can probably close. But without him, we might need Ott to start.

Hope ya'll are right. I just feel this team suffered due to pitching and that was due, in part to two boys signing pro contracts.

That was only a very small part of the problem.

I think with pitching improves simply on the notion that we can not pitch that bad again. Some times the staff had some melt downs that only happen once every 4 or 5 years and they had them two times a weekend.

Unless someone or 2 someones step up, I can't see how our pitching gets any better next yr.

Try the edit button if it happens again to u.

We might be deep in pitchers but you know a few of them will not play due to injuries. Happens every year. And nobody on that team is as good as Ranaudo last year. I hope Alsup can continue to improve but the guy just doesn't have what Ranaudo and Coleman did. I'd be fine with Ott starting but I that's a last resort. Matulis and Mormann can be starters if they get their control issues down. Maybe they can come around. I always go back to Coleman his Sophmore year. The guy was terrrible. Hopefully we can turn a few of them around. Lasuzzo and and Cotton can be good mid relievers I think.

First Ott is not a starter with only two pitches. Secondly why don't you ask why Ott never saw the field at the end of season. I'll answer that for you. He is in coach's dog house and has some serious work to do to get out.
