Big 10 (12)

plus Nebraska

I think they are done

Pac 10 (16)

Plus Utah
Plus Texas
Plus Texas Tech
Plus OU
Plus OSU
Plus CU

MWC (9)

Plus Boise State
Minus Utah

Questions
Kansas
Kansas State
Mizzou
Iowa State

SEC (13)

Plus A&M

Questions
any ACC powerhouse
WVU?

ACC (12)

Questions
Minus any SEC pull

then they would add WVU, ECU, UCF?

Is the big east dead by the end?

The only official things are nebraska to the big 10 and colorado to the Pac 10 and Boise St to the Mountain West; everything else is speculation

yeah, i was listening to Cowherd (don't ask why, because i really don't like him) and he said it's official, then said it wasn't official....so i jumped the gu just like everyone else.

Why do you think Mizzou ahead of WVU?

SEC would add Va Tech, UNC and Duke before Mizzou.

If A&M is in....SEC Football would be the Darth Vader style Empire in Football and if they add UNC and Duke, would be unquestioned in Mens Hoop as well.

A&M is the key for this to happen....blee dat...

Book it...my sources indicate..

WVU brings nothing to the table. This isn't about football, this is about money. Mizzou brings St. Louis and Kansas City t.v. markets. West Virginia brings about 12 mobile homes with antennas. But Virginia Tech is probably higher on the list than both of those schools.

Yeah, UNC and Duke would definitely be higher on the list. But I seriously doubt they leave the friendly confines of the ACC. Virginia Tech is the most likely candidate.

I think the SEC's want list would be...

1. Texas (not happening)
2. aTm
3. UNC
4. Oklahoma
5. everyone else

I disagree. The SEC currently has the best TV deal. We don't have the markets others have, it all about the quality of the product.

Let's List: (I'm leaving NYC out) and some might be listed twice

SEC Major Markets (5.5)
Hotlanta 2.3
Tampa 1.8
Orlando 1.4

ACC Major Markets (9.1)
Boston 2.4
DC? 2,3
Tampa 1.8
Miami 1.5
Charlottle 1.1

Big 10 Major Markets (11.7)
Chicago 3.5
Philly 3.0
Detroit 1.8
Minn 1.7
Cleveland 1.5
Indy 1.1

Big 12 Major Markets (7.3)
Dallas 2.5
Houston 2.1
Denver 1.5
St. Louis 1.2

Pac 10 Major Markets (14.3)
LA 5.7
San Fran 2.5
Phoenix 1.8
Seattle 1.8
Sacramento 1.4
Portland 1.1

That's your top 25 markets, doesn't really add up does it.....

If all this talk comes to fruition....then I think both the Big 12 and Big East are dead.

Big 10 & ACC will raid Big East to get to 16 teams.

SEC will pick up a few as well to get to 16.

i keep hearing that the SEC would add UNC and/or Duke, but i think alot of people are forgetting about Wake Forest, it will be very hard to break up the Tobacco Road trio

ACC Major Markets
DC?

Definitely DC is an ACC market. Maryland's campus is in the DC metro area, and VT is huge around here, too. If we could snag VT, the SEC would get a lot more coverage around here, which would be great for us SEC expats here in the nation's capital.

That's only in football, of course. In hoops, it's still a Big East (Georgetown) first, ACC (Maryland) second market.

him thinking WVU doesn't get ratings is just foolish. Most of the fans don't even live in WV anymore.
