So far, here are the places that people are talking about viewing games.
Houma
- Mahony's Irish Pub(not open until 12). $2 domestic longnecks and $10 pitchers. Over 115 different beers from around the world to choose from. Roasted pig, jambalaya, white beans being served around 4pm.
Baton Rouge
- Plucker's on Nicholson. IRL TD WCB GT (open @9am Friday, 6:20am Saturday). The kitchen will open at 11 on Friday. Saturday breakfast will be served from 7-10am (egg, sausage, bacon and cheese sandwiches served on Texas Toast. Hashbrowns optional for $1 more. Also serving OJ, coffee, milk) Regular menu will start at 11am. $4 34 oz. Bud Light, Miller Lite and Bud Select. $6 34 oz. Abita Amber and Purple Haze, Blue Moon and Killian's. $4 Jack Daniel's, Crown Royal, Grey Goose, Bombay Sapphire, Patron.
We will be waving red, white and blue flags all over Plucker's, and may even have a few vuvuzelas. Dgtiger3 has compiled a very solid playlist of World Cup and American songs to pass the time between the Argentina match and the pregame show of our match. We have gotten alot of calls and messages from friends and friends of friends who are excited and will be there early. Expect the atmosphere to be much like a home LSU football game.
-Fox and Hound, located at College and Corporate near Hooters. Will be opening at 6:30am for all early games until the semis. They will be offering a $6.99 breakfast menu.
-Buffalo Wild Wings on Bluebonnet(open at 9am days that have early games). $.50 off Miller Lite and Dos Equis.
-Voodoo BBQ on Nicholson. WBRZ will be in attendance and there will be giveaways
-Sporting News Grill
-The Bulldog on Perkins(open at 11:30)

Dallas Area
-Trinity Hall, located in Mockingbird Station, and also a new location in Allen.
-The Londoner, in Addison, located on Midway just south of Belt Line.
*From what I have heard, these three places will be packed full of people by the Argentina-Nigeria match, so get there early. Also, these locations should have patios open for viewing pleasure.
*Other venues in Mockingbird Station showing the matches:
-Angelike Theaters is showing the matches in a large theater. Admission is free and seating is first come-first serve. Cash bar for your pleasure.
-Vapiano will be open for all matches and offers a great lounge with TV's throughout.

As for me, I'll be in Houma at Mahony's Irish Pub for the US-England match. Place not opening until 12 but were roasting a pig, and will have jambalaya and white beans, along with $2 domestics and $10 pitchers.
I'm considering Pluckers in BR though
Where exactly is Mahony's?

Pluckers will be open early on Saturday. I'm strongly considering that for the eaaaaaaaarly game on Saturday, especially if we can get a WCB IRL GT going.
BRSA's "event" is at VooDoo near LSU. But, WBRZ will be there, and there will be giveaways and such.
I also found out that Sporting News Grill is hosting an event, as well. Both VooDoo and SN Grill should be kid friendly. Don't know about Pluckers.
My group is going to The Bulldog in Baton Rouge for the US game.

I was thinking about a name tag for Finn McCool's in NO.

I'll bring 'em. I need to figure out what my options are between home and Pluckers.
Posted on 6/10/10 at 8:15 am to mylsuhat
On Main St. downtown. It's about the size of Pluckers, so it should be packed bc I haven't heard of anywhere else in Houma having anything for the game. Plus it will be good for football games, 10 beers on tap and 115 different beers.

Posted on 6/10/10 at 8:28 am to mylsuhat
Tara.
There's a Mary Lee in Drusilla, but I frickin' HATE Mary Lee.
I would love to go to The Artist Formerly Known As Meche's.... but that's arse in the other direction.
BR needs a Dunkin' Donuts.
