Oil prices ticked higher Thursday after an inventory report showed supplies fell much more than expected.

What's driving prices: After the close of oil trading Wednesday, the American Petroleum Institute crude supplies fell by 1.4 million barrels last week. Experts expected stockpiles to fall by just 100,000 barrels.

Ah, yeah, more data manipulation to support pricing. I can tell them where to find millions of gallons of free oil floating at and below the surface of a large body of water if anyone in the industry would like to know. Azzhats. I am taking up some slack in Rivers absence.

Just wait till the unemployment print tomorrow. Rivers would have a heart attack.

Well, if the 'tards in DC have their way the unemployment rate in the oil industry might start increasing rather significantly. Can anyone up there think rationally and logically? Could they ever? I am all for environmental protection and safe practices, but the world doesn't currently power itself with air nor rotten bio mass.

My stance on politicians of all stripes is pretty well documented.

petro plunge

A big factor is the Euro tanking and the dollar going up as a result. Since oil is priced in dollars, that loweres $ / bbl.
