It's called Hotspot shield, brah. Make sure you turn on your remote access. Log out, close down browser. Get back on, start the shield, log in under remote access. Bingo. No blackout.

ETA: However, you probably should have thought about this before today. Your work computer might not let you download the shield. Also, you might have to be at home in order to set up your remote access.

I don't want to put too much on the board. Google Hotspot Shield. I spent about 30 minutes at home figuring it out during the Auburn series. Worked great.

Google Hotspot Shield

Tried to go to the site and my Trend Micro blocked the site and labeled it as "dangerous".

i've downloaded it and been trying to use it for two hours. evidently, they don't want people to know how to use it since there are no instructions anywhere. when i turn it on and go to espn3, i get "Get Remote Access to ESPN3," but no instructions no how to do so.

Make sure you turn it off. Go to remote access under your normal settings, then hit the remote access tab and espn 360 will ask you if you would like to sync your account.

After you sync your account. Log out of your espn account. Shut down your browser. Then go back into your browser, turn on the hotspot shield. Go to ESPN360, sign into your espn account. My carrier is At&t so you should see that brought to you by symbol once you are logged in. However, you might have to turn the shield off when you actually pick the game on the screen. I've been using it quite frequently to watch alot of games that are "blacked out".

I'm not doing something right......

What the heck is a remote access tab?

I have the shield downloaded. When do I turn it on and off? Before or after I click on the game on espn3?

Do you know anyone in another state with ESPN360? If so ask them if you can log in to ESPN with their user name and Yahtzee, black out lifted.

Viewing ESPN through a shield probably will not work because they know who your cable provider is and will block anyways. If you have another source you can try a shield through www.ultrareach.com, you may try www.p2p4u.net I used it to watch a few saints games here in Ga. don't know if they carry college baseball.

i think there's a problem at espn3. the sync option never pops up like it's supposed to. i've tried it on three browsers, same result every time.

another long shot option. Do you know someone watching it who has a Slingbox? This device takes your tv shows from home and broadcast them over the Internet to any computer in the world. Kind of a long shot, but if you plan ahead for next year, give someone a Slingbox who can view the game in a none blacked out area and give you the info to view over the web at work/home.

If your not able to sync, not good. Sorry I can't help more. I'm watching the games at work right now.

Good Luck with this option!!!!!!!

Right click on the following link, save to your desktop, and double click on the exe file to install the plugin:
LINK

Now I want you to go to LINK / and write down the ip address that it gives you. This is your current IP address and later you will see how we will use a proxy to get a differant IP addess, we will use ipchicken again to show you that you indeed have a NEW ipaddress and this will fool ESPN360 into thinking we are on another network thus allowing us to watch the game online.

1.) Go to this address. LINK /
It is a list of free proxy servers that are on the .EDU domain.
Note that the status messages are generally worthless.
I just sort the list by clicking on Total under the Users header on the far right hand side of the list and just go down the list until you find one that works.
Try to pick one that doesn’t have a country code like .br or .de at the end, etc. because it will be slower.
I used:
Name: planetlab03.cs.washington.edu
IP Address: 128.208.4.199

2.) Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools-> Internet Options->Connections Tab- >LAN Settings and check the box “Use a Proxy Server for your LAN”.

3.) Enter the IP address from the list and a port. The ports are always going to be 3128, 3127, or 3124 (unless it says otherwise on the list). I used 3128. In my case I used the following IP Address 128.208.4.199
Click OK, and then click OK again to get back to Internet Explorer.
Close Internet Explorer.
Relaunch Internet Explorer.

4.) Test the proxy server by going to LINK / You should now see a completely different IP Address than before. This means things are working!!!

Sometimes you will see a CoDeeN splash page, but it will redirect you shortly. You will see under Advanced, a line that says Name Address.
If you are on the proxy server it should be a different ISP than your usual ISP. If a particular server doesn’t work, pick another one from the list in step #1.

5.) Go to ESPN360.com, click on the link that says “Watch Now”.
A new window will open up.

6.) Once Player loads go back to the other window of Internet Explorer.
Go to Tools-> Internet Options->Connections Tab->LAN Settings and UNCHECK the box “Use a Proxy Server for your LAN”.
Click OK, then Click OK again to get back to Internet Explorer.
Note: You can’t turn this off until after you Launch Video Player because it won’t work otherwise.

7.) Switch back to the ESPN 360 window and it should play using YOUR internet connection and not the one through the proxy.
You are no longer using a proxy server, so the video will stream full speed.
Its worth mentioning that Full Speed on ESPN360 can still be a bit choppy at times, but at least you get to watch the game.

8.) Don’t close the ESPN360 window or you will have to turn on the proxy again to get back in.
I usually click it full screen and when commercials come on it will bounce from full to not quite full screen but once the commercial is over it will go back full screen.
Also worth mentioning is the commercials will sometimes appear to be hung, but they are not. Don’t panic. When the time allotted for the commercial is up, the game will resume just fine.
Note: I have noticed that at times it won’t take the same proxy twice in a row, if that is the case you will need to find another one from the list in step 1.

9.) Enjoy The Game!

If anyone finds a IP and port number that works please let us know. I'm trying as we speak.

I have a cheap MP3 player with FM Tuner running to my computer speakers at work.
So, I get to hear "MY OH MY! He hit it a TON. Oh wait, [any opposing player] makes the grab at the warning track and retires the side."

But hey, at least I get the game.
