Probably would not work but it would be a way to try to absorb the oil using green methods

Great idea two weeks ago. Iguess it is being used in the panhandle.

it was just sent to me in an email today. I did a search but did not see it. Sorry if I wasted anyone's time.

great for surface, but what about all the oil that is under the surface. The Advocate article this morning about oil reaching Grand Isle, stated that residents never saw the oil coming on the surface, but rather it came from under the surface. I don't think this method would work very well for that underwater oil.

However, it couldn't hurt to try it on the surface.

I happened to be in the USDA office this AM and I was telling them about this video. They told me that hay production is really down this year and it would drive up the cost of hay astronomically. I just thought it was amusing that we have the best minds in the world trying to figure out a solution and two good old boys from the South figured out a partial fix. I still would prefer hay to the chemicals they were (are) putting in the water. I know it is not a complete fix but if it would minimize the damage that would be great.
