so any word on what type of owner people expect him to be?
Posted on 4/21/10 at 10:57 am to BilJ
rich and wants to build around CP3. Other than that, nothing has been said.

i dont know if u can automatically assume he will pay a luxury tax every season to sign over the cap, but he is close to a billionaire, if not a billionaire. And he loves basketball.

Thought someone said he's worth at least 3 times as much as Shinn

He makes me excited for the future of the organization, from the little I've heard about him.

probably a pretty good time to become an owner with hopefully a new CBA on the way that won't handicap teams as badly.

Plus, he has a constant stream of income coming in. Shinn's only income was the Hornets.

This... I can't think of ANY negatives to Chouest taking over. I am excited for the future. I am prolly getting a lil ahead of myself, but things can only get better with a man willing to spend a little more than Shinn, and make this team a contender.

the only negative IMO is that he likes Avery Johnson

Someone posted that he is about 400 million dollars richer than Shinn.

No one knows how much he is worth. He runs a private family owned business with dozens of companies worldwide. I am an accountant for one of his comnpanies and if I don't know, then sure as hell some random person doesn't know.

I know a little about him. He tried to recruit me to play ball at South Lafourche. He is real passionate about basketball. He will pay top dollar for a winner. His son Ross will probably be running the team from what I'm hearing on the Bayou.

He runs Edison Chouest offshore in Galliano, LA
