Because claiming titles from 1935 and 1908 add nothing to your programs legacy, they're worthless

I noticed that during the national championship game this year the anouncers made it known that Alabama does not have as many championships as they claimed.

If you base NC's on finishing number one in at least one poll, and some fan bases do, then LSU has 8 NC's in football.

Off the top of my head I believe 36 and 59 were yrars LSU finished number 1 in at least one poll. There was another year as well.

As mentioned by distinguished gentlemen above, we ARE NOT the Gumptards and Ole Piss!! The only thing we have in common with them is the conference we play in....period. Everyone else in the country gets a good laugh at their expense (especially the Gumptards) because they claim more than they should.
In my book, we have 3...58, 03 and 07.
