Ok, here's the deal, I am a student here at LSU, and me and some of my friends are going to Atlanta for the kickoff game against UNC. Does anybody know of a relatively cheap hotel (remember, we're broke college kids) that is close to the dome?

Thanks!

Ehh....looks to be a bit out of my price range. Now if I just had money given to me for doing nothing, then maybe. If only I was the coach for LSU.....

try looking on orbitz. you can also try hotwire.com however the trick with that one is you dont get to know the hotel name until after you book (but with some research you can search out the specific amenities for certain hotels). i've gotten rooms REAL cheap by doing it that way on hotwire. also, don't ever tell the hotel the true number of people staying. if you have 4 or 6 people there, tell them 2. you can pile people in with air mattresses.

Ya...I've looked on orbitz a little bit. They have given me a couple of choices. I haven't tried hotwire yet. I was just wondering if anybody knew of a specific hotel that I may have overlooked. Maybe one swarming with LSU fans???? Thanks again.

Airport hotels. I always stay near the airport.... it's either a 10 minute drive or cab ride. You can find hotels for $90-100. I recommend the Westin Airport. It's my usual spot.

Airport! If you have a car, the airport hotels are cheaper during the weekend and it's an easy trip to downtown. Embassy suites has two rooms so you can get more people in the room.

I'd suggest staying OTP (outside the perimeter) and riding the train into town...

There aren't really any Cheap ones near the Dome. Your gonna have to go out further if you want a cheap hotel. Look in the Gwinnett County area. Usually some cheaper ones but you will have to ride MARTA in.

This. When we were broke and going to the SEC championships, we'd find a hotel close to the Marta station in Alpharetta(i think, north of ATL) and take the marta in. We'd save some money and not have to stay in a shite hole.
