I'm reading the book now, and I love it. I had heard that the Swedish film was good and was hoping that there wouldn't be an American remake. But alas, here we go.
I think Fincher is a great choice for the project though. I'll have to check it out.

I read all three books and was looking forward to the original movies also. I hope they don't get try to get to crazy with the story lines like what was done to the bourne series.
Also, I loved the first two books but had a difficult time finishing the third. It seemed to drag on a little.

I downloaded a 720p rip of it two days ago but haven't watched it yet. Normally I'd be against an american remake but if it's a quality director like Fincher I have no problem with it.

How did you read the third book already?
The first was a bit of a chore at first but ultimately very rewarding. The second I couldn't put down.
