I was looking at the Spring Game roster and realized that we never had any players take the #3 or #5 jersey. We all know how much players looove the low numbers, so my thought is that these numbers have been promised to recruits or incoming freshman (kind of like Trevon Randle with #4)

Someone posted a while back that technically this practice was against the NCAA rules. So..what's the deal?

Vinson wore #5 in high school so he might take that next year.

Whoever would wear #3, I just wish they would be half as good as Kevin Faulk.

Ware would be perfect for 3, reminds me of KF. I hope Boone keeps 7.

??? Did you see Kevin Faulk in high school? Ware is closer to Alley Broussard than Faulk. He's got 40-50lbs. on Faulk at the same age.

ETA: Nevermind, just saw how old you are.

I just mean his running style. Ware is 20 lbs heavier than Faulk is right now.

I could be way off here, I just get that feel watching him play. Ware is much more athletic/shifty than Broussard was, IMO.

There can be two of the same numbers, one on offense and one defense. Plus, PP will probably be gone after this year to the NFL

#3 would fit Ware nicely.

#5 is like a premier number for a college athlete.. i'm surprised no one has it yet..

Ford wore 32 in HS I figured he would switch after Chuck left.

I don't like Ford wearing 42, just does not look right on him for some reason. Please tell me that he will make a number change before the season starts.

Who gets #1. Surely Barrett Bailey will not have exclusive right to #1.
