My other thread gave me this idea. I'm sure alot of people on a sports message board have some kinda sports background, playing some sport on some level. So let me hear your story, maybe a particular game or situation where you caught fire and felt noone could stop you.
Mine all-time favorite in my life that buddies have still reminded me about was in 8th grade. I was on the team but played spot-duty in games. Few minutes in second quarter here, 3rd quarter there. But, one game down by about 25, I started the 4th quarter and caught fire. 6 3's in a row, one time from around the time-line I made it. Bon jovi's song "livin on a prayer was stuck in my head" too lol We came roaring back, I felt like I could not miss. We wound up losing the game by a few, which sucked, but from then on I got to play more and wound up having a great year, making alot of 3's.
So anyway, let me here some sport stories from yall.

double OT buzzer beater 3 when we were down by 2. i made a 3 in regulation with like 6 seconds left to get to OT. frickin wettest shot and the cords ripped as the buzzer went off. it was frickin rec ball as soccer is my actual sport but it was still awesome.

On the par 5 6th at Stonebrige in Bossier I hit a mediocre drive. Left me about 210 to the hole from the light ruff... Hit a 5 iron that landed a few feet in front of the cup and rolled right in. Double Eagle. Better than a hole in one (which I have yet to make).
Also on a golf roadtrip with some friends I shot a 67 on a par 72 course I had never played. 8 birdies, a double bogey and a bogey. My lowest score ever.

playing 2nd base, probably 9/10 little league, we're up 2 in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs. Guy on 2nd.
Huge fat kid crushes one to deep center. Guy from 2nd scores easy. Guy playing center was horrible (like most outfielders in little league), so I run about halfway out to where he is from 2nd. He finally gets it to me, I turn and immediately throw it on a line to catch the fat kid at home. Was awesome bang/bang play and we won.
That, or my lone INT playing DT

lol, had an exact same scenario (besides a guy being on second) threw the dude out trying to get a homer, except it was a sotball game at a church camp in Georgia

Every sack was special, Recovering a muffed punt, and paving the way for the running game when the game is on the line.

Congrats to everyone with great moments to tell their kids someday
I have a couple...in pop warner i threw a 50 or 60 yard td pass with no time left to put us within one...two point conversion, i rolled out on a qb sweep and slipped in the mud...we lost
My better one was first game on varsity as a sophomore, i picked off a pass at its highest point at the other teams ten to seal a win. Still talked about today because i never did anything better since

Eagle on a 400-yard Par 4. Hit my second shot from 150 away. Landed just short of the green, bounced on and rolled right in.

I was playing center field as a senior in high school and a guy just ripped one into the left center field gap about 15 feet short of the fence. I was running full speed back towards the wall and did a full extension dive and made the catch in mid-air. It was a sweet catch, but I got a hernia because of it.

My "highlight" would have to be a 40 yard goal in HS soccer that was the shot from heaven, it was the absolute dream shot. I was going across the middle of the field from the left, took a touch forward, saw the keeper off his line, and ripped it. The shot started out in the middle of the goal, and had some mean swerve down to the left, over the keeper's head and dipped into the top left corner. Didn't mean much though as the other team sucked and we were up 6-0. I had a vid of it, but don't know where it is now...
My most important goals were my junior year in HS soccer, I scored game-winning headers in OT against the team in our district that was supposed to kill us AT their field, and then at our field for the district tie-breaker for first seed. They beat us 7-3 earlier in the season at our place, we beat them 2-1, thanks to me, at their place, then we won again 3-2 at our place thanks to me. The next game was also our first soccer playoff game in about 6 years, and 2nd time ever making the playoffs and I scored the first goal in that one too. Thats my claim to fame.
