I'd like a guy like that as my head coach

Nicely done.

TT is lucky they could get Tuberville, any other hire I would think would be a step-down.

Pretty gay of Orangebloods to dig that up considering it has nothing to do with them.

He's speaking as an outside analyst, not as a leader.

I watched some of the games he's talking about. I was at one of them. I don't really disagree with anything he says.

And, in all honesty, I talk like that. My friends and coworkers have had to endure some pretty over-the-top profanity-laced screeds from me.

But you don't talk like that to an audience of 70+ people who are expecting wisdom and leadership. And I'd have to be fairly intoxicated to talk like that with the cameras rolling.

Mike Leach bought in to his own hype and lost touch with reality.

Another reason why he is one of my favorite coaches in the country.

I thought it was good. It is probably nothing compared to what a Saban, Stoops or Pelini sound like in the same scenario.

I don't disagree with what he's saying but that is not a way to motivate a team to play better. All it does is get the players more pissed off at you

True. He does come across as talking down to "them", rather than "us".

He said "frick" a lot and that they're not entitled to victories. Super cool.

The guy who broke the story for Orangebloods has a radio show in Austin. His guest today, before the story broke: Tommy Tubberville

Guessing there was somebody from Texas Tech who was helping arrange this interview that wanted this footage out the day before Leach's hearing. Instead of the school just dropping the footage on its own, gives the impression that "they had to give it out" because a journalist asked for it under Texas' Freedom of information Act.

I'm not a Mike Leach fan per se, but I think he hits the nail on the head pretty well with his analysis.

Those words are meaningless without emotion and follow through. Can't speak for follow through, but I didn't see much emotion.

At least he speaks in terms his players can understand.

His point was they weren't working hard enough and they stupidly think because they went 11-2 the year before that they could show up and win and they were too good to be on the same field as Baylor and Houston. He was right. That is leadership. Helping your team understand who they are. They weren't getting it and he made it clear for them.

Contrast that with Les Miles who can't communicate points like that in a way that his kids or the media can understand. They would just have a room full of kids looking at each other asking , "so, does that mean we are good or bad?"

In my estimation TT never gets back to the level they were at under Leach.

Can Les hire him as a consultant. I'd love to have him at LSU to put the players in their place. You don't see many old school coaches like him anymore.

I love it. He didn't single anyone out but he got his point across, nothing wrong with that.
