Just curious, what the frick does the vertical have to do with being an offensive lineman? I know it shows some athleticism but, how does this (vertical) translate to how good they will be on the field?

Screen plays, jumping over people trying to cut you.

Actually nothing......just another event for scouts to watch large men shake around. I swear the combine is conducted by a bunch of homosexual men trying to get a bit of excitement.

My thoughts exactly about this "event."

Teams have their draft boards set 95% going into the combine. It is purely a tweak mechanism. Some athletic freaks might get a boost. Even those are more likely to be a number of spots and not rounds of difference. Likewise the gigantic flops or imbecilic numbskulls in interviews to the downside.

Okay, that makes more sense now. Sorry, I am kind of hungover and not thinking today. Thanks
