I was just saying I would have loved to be good enough to be on one of LSU's football teams. Seems like it would be a great experience and the stories would last a lifetime.

First or last name might be Charles.

It's possible he may have been called "Chuck", too.

I don't think he's ever said, but I seem to remember him saying that he got injured as a reserve and never became a starter.

He also must have become an official at some level, because he acted as though he knew the Burleson guy who is the supervisor of replay officials in the SEC.

He gave a time frame of his playing days, but I don't remember exactly. Seems to me it was a good while back, like the early '80's maybe.

this is true. But, I do like the frickhead tone you take.

I have kept anonymity and enjoy it, but just try to offer a true perspective from time to time.

BTW, I do know Dick Burleson well and spoke to him 3 weeks ago over lunch. He was adamant that the offical in the booth made the call not him.

did you letter? it would not be hard to find a list of lsu letterman for anyone named Charles/Chuck in the late 80's/90's... then your sacred anonymity would be gone

I know who you are.....and I know where you got that AFC Championship ring.

As far as being critical of former players, I am NEVER b/c I have no grounds.....come on. The statement I made was meant harmless, but reading it now was cheap and low. Sorry brother.
