Didn't hear anything about that, but I suspect he is. I hope he is.

That plus the Hunter article leads me to believe Johnson is 4th on the board for LSU.

Sounds accurate. Still shouldn't slow play. We should've learned our lesson about that by now.

The intangibles that I picked up from the interview are:

Smart young man

Well spoken

Great character, sense of humility, and team player

No discipline issues

Comes from a good family

Father figure in his life that gives good perspective

I want him to be a tiger.

Mickey needs to stay home. LSU needs the depth on the DL. No doubt he would have been offered if he would have been in last years class.

LSU needs to go after all 4 big DTs from La this year

From the sounds of Mickey in his interview, LSU just doesnt seem to be that interested early on in the recruiting process. He said he hasnt heard from their ast coach since last summer.

He has been to two LSU camps...as some have already said...looks like a slow play...I hope in spite of this we offer him a scholarship this weekend at Jr. Day.

TheBob, how often do LSU coaches come to Rummel practice? Not sure how often they go to WM now, but when Dinardo was at LSU he seemed to be at WM every week. He knew everyone on the team by name.

Never. They knew Lonergan from him attending camps. The most we got this past season was Yano calling about Carvin Johnson after he gave a verbal to Michigan.

In their defense, we haven't had too much LSU caliber talent the past few seasons. I expect this to change with the hiring of Frank Wilson though. He comes around our area quite often from his Ole Miss, and UT days.

IMO they have gotten lazy, and put too much stock in camps. They should absolutely be all over Hunter and Tyson based on the film I've seen. Also whoever that monster Soph DE you guys have. #90 maybe? He jumped up to bat down a pass vs. St. Aug and his nutsack was in the St. Aug guys face. On top of the fact that the kid looked to be about 6'6. Got quite a laugh out of that when watching film on WM.

I can't imagine him not getting invited to a camp at least. He's got great size and strength and very nice get off. The coaches will definitely want to get some eyes on him.

Tyson is an absolute beast! His brother will be a junior next year and will be a beast also.

Older Tyson has grade issues. Played as a senior this past year although he was a junior grade wise.

Have been told multiple times that's not the case. He was supposedly a sophomore last year playing as a junior. Supposed to have 1 more year at WM.

If Tyson was out of eligibility last year he would have been listed as a 12th grader just like Talton was correct? I thought I heard he had one more year when I asked about him in the dome this year.
