Heard Mike Greenberg on ESPN radio say this morning that the win wasn't nearly as impressive as the final score. And that the Bush return was why it got out of hand, forcing Zona to change their gameplan.

Now I don't normaly post stupid claims by the media, but this was the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. BEFORE the return we were winning by 24 points with 6 mins left in
the 3rd, AND we were getting the ball back. It's simply amazing the way the media is spinning this stuff.

Saints are in the Superbowl and that's all that matters. I quit listening to ESPN when they start talking about the Superbowl because apparently, the Colts already won it.

I really am dumbfounded by it. I just don't understand how they don't think the Saints are a good team. All the common opponents results say the saints are at least as good as the Colts. The Saints have the number 1 offense very comparable to the greatest show on turf, yet all they can talk about is Manning and the Colts offense.
Heck, the Saints are 15-3 and the three losses came at a time where the defense was really unhealthy and the last game, the Saints rested their starters. It should not be a shock if the Saints win.

I honestly don't get why it's seen as a better story to paint the Saints team as being this grand fluke, playing the Colts who are the best team ever, as opposed to painting this as a game between the two clearly best teams in the NFL this year, with nearly the best two W/L records to ever meet in a SB.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems the latter (the reality) is a hell of a lot more compelling a storyline.

It's like Nick Saban scolded them for during the BCS talk. They try to make every match-up a David vs. Goliath.

I used to think that of the talking heads, there were a few of them that were there for shock and attention, while others actually brought legitimate opinions. I don't know if that's true. It's like I read on here earlier this week, all of the media is running with the Colts and Peyton Manning are unstoppable, and most of the players in the league are saying that the Saints have a great chance to win. This morning I heard Marshall Faulk tell Stephen A. Smith that the Saints defense had to face Kurt Warner and Brett Farve. Meanwhile, the media is loving the Colts defense who faced Joe Flacco and Mark Sanchez. Stephen A. Smith was shocked and said, "That's a great point that nobody has said this week." People don't realize that the Vikings offense has been better than the Colts all year. Farve, Peterson, and Taylor are better than Manning, Addai, and Brown. They just make the stupid assumption that if the Vikings had a lot of yards, then Peyton and the Colts will score every possession.

I'm also sick of hearing how the Saints can't possibly win a shoot out with Peyton Manning. Why not? The Saints had the best offense in the NFL for the entire season.
