yes, good advice, but I was wondering about general reputation... ie, does this builder actually use quality subs?

Self contract, majority of contractors will rape you financially in the long run...

Yes. I do work mostly in and around the greater Baton Rouge area. Mostly commercial, but I am not opposed to doing residential. Residential is what I started with, but now I am almost all commercial.

He's not U Club, he's actually U Club South which is in St. Gabriel. Looking over his site, it looks like he does spec homes and not custom.

I just went with them in Thib. from what I hear you have to stay on top of them, but whatever you find wrong they will fix. But go everyday and check on your home. Seem to be nice guys though.
