The Origin of WHO DAT (video)

Where DAT from?
I tried to put all the video/audio I could find together to have everything all in one place.
Some of the audio sounds crappy cuz I had to change the pitch on a Marx Bros song and a Royal Crown revue song both which are owned by Warner bros. Hope you enjoy!

I'm so tired of hearing Southern invented the chant, Patterson been doing it since the 70's and we got the proof, I'm still waiting on the proof from Southern and St. Aug. All I get is hear say. PATTERSON " HOME OF THE WHO DAT"

Nice. I remember during LSU basketballs magical run in 1981 we were saying "Who dat talkin' bout beatin' them Tigers" and Bobby Knight throwing an LSU fan in a trashcan and using the "who dat" phrase to mock him.

This guy doesn't offer proof, but the former coach of Capitol Roman Bates swears he heard somewhere around '69 from the Jags.
A ton of smoke coming from the Jags corner, so I'm sure it has some credence.
Besides, I didn't address any high school who dat debut. But rather hinted that it was prominently chanted in the NCAA by the Jags in the decade of the 70's.

LSU should never be in the discussion of the origin of Who dat. They were way late.
