I'm guessing the coaches were supposed to have an in home tonight.Word is that they canceled and we are now out of the running.

Weather problems happen, but we really need to get some good LB's next year. Its an area where we'll probably have to go out of state.

LSU head coach Les Miles was scheduled for his in home visit with Beaufort LB Justin Parker Friday but had to cancel due to the weather. "He said they could make it in but they weren't sure they could make it back," Beaufort coach Mark Clifford said.

USC head coach Steve Spurrier and three assistants visited with Parker Thursday. Clifford said Parker told him the visit "went good." Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney and assistant Dan Brooks are scheduled for an in home visit with Parker around noon on Saturday. Parker will announce his choice Wednesday.

Clifford said the choice will come down to Clemson or USC which is where things have stood with Parker all along despite the push from LSU.

If yall really thought we were really in it for Parker, you are crazy. Two in-state colleges that have been on him since his sophomore year, there is no way your getting him out of there.

We just have to make sure now we get Wallace and Fitte next year for sure, as well as more LBers

While i didn't expect to land Parker,I'm sure that USCe and Clemson were on Montomery since his soph. year as well and we got him.Things change in recruiting.Demar Dorsey was commited to Florida for 9-10 months but changed. But i do agree that Parker was a long shot.We definitely need at least 3 good lb's next year. That's the postion I have the most concern about on the team.We have some solid/good young guys but don't really know how any are going to play or really have a godd idea to be honest.Hopefully Baker is ready to take over at least one spot for the next 2 years.

I think Fitte is ours if we offer, and with the class we already have, and are expected to have, I think we can reel in Wallace with also a chance to step in immediately

This kid has given every indidcation from the beginning that he is not leaving the state. Anybody that ever thought he might come here is out in left field.

This. plus he isn't worth it. He is 4 stars on rivals and he is overrated he should be a 3 star.

Hes a good LB.Just another good LB from OOS that LSU loses out on. Nothing new here.

Are you folks really suggesting that Miles should have flown in despite the weather conditions? For a MAYBE at best?

Some of you fricks slay me!

Parker wasnt coming anyway, LSU waited way too long to try and get in on him, just like a plethora of other guys. He was already narrowed down to Clemson and USCe before LSU turned up the heat, and he had offers from everywhere.

So, he had offers from "everywhere" and it comes down to the 2 big home state schools......but it is only because LSU waited too late that he is not going to be a Tiger?

WOW. The home schools beat "everywhere" BUT Baton Rouge. Really? Are you folks never tired of your biases?

I've been on him for a while now..not more than his home state but more than other schools

Dude, Parker had been offered by every school in the south, but narrowed it down to clemson and USCe, before we even turned up the heat on him. If he wasnt willing to go to UGA, UF, FSU, OLe Miss, Auburn, why the frick would he come here? What can LSU offer that those cant?

Nothing. He was staying close to home from day 1. Its not a big deal that our coaches missed out on the in home visit.
