LSU TIger Uniforms

I was a huge fan of the new uniforms worn against Arkansas but that The Tigs did not wear against Penn State. i probably missed a post somewhere, but what's the skinny with the uniform situation?

The Arkansas uniform was a one time deal. The same uniform you have seen LSU wear your entire life is the uniform you will continue to see likely for the rest of your life.

It was a Nike promotion.
They made new uniforms for 10 teams and we were one of them, just wore them against Arkansas.

The main reason we never mix it up is mainly due to the huge cost related to having multiple uniforms. Our uniforms are nice, but they are not unbelievably badass that a little variation every now and then would be a bad thing.
An all white uniform at home would be a great thing once a year, but it is expensive.

Never, and I mean NEVER, change our uniforms. They are the best in the country and should never be changed.

Let's hope they don't change! I like the new little LSU above the numbers but other than small changes like that, nothing should be done. Penn State's unis look like they have been the same since the 19th century, part of the reason they're so sweet

cost is not an issue. lsu has 2 regular uniforms, which is much fewer than most schools, and being as lsu is one of nike's top collegiate clients, cost is not an issue whatsoever

The media sure liked them. It seems every article lately uses pictures from the arkansas game with those uniforms. I thought they looked sharp FWIW, but I really like the "we wear white and gold whenever we want" tradition.

The color of the uniform they wear should be the least of our concerns at this point, with this team.
They could wear pink tootoos for all I care as long as they perform wayyyyyy better on the field in 2010.
