Anyone here have this game? I picked it up over the weekend and without a doubt, it is probably one of the hardest Tactical First Person Shooter's I've ever bought.

So far I've only advanced to my 3rd mission and I'm having a hell of a time getting through it. I get near the end, but my team ends up getting eliminated along with myself.

Anyone here with the game have any tips for getting past the 3rd mission?

I have the game. I'm on the last level...MW2 came out and I haven't finished it, yet. Which one is the third level?

It's the beach head landing on Day 2. You have to clear out the anti tank teams to clear the way for the APV's and then take out the resistance at the village. Once that is done you have to defend the village position from the PLA counter assault.

I always get right near the end but then all hell breaks loose. It doesn't matter how I coordinate, it always seems the the APV on the south end of the village gets blown up, and the PLA storm my side and take me and my unit out.

Is that where you have to get to the village and find the US crew in a house? After you get them, high tail it to the extraction zone (don't forget to have your team follow you). That's how I beat it--I just ran away like a bitch.

No that must be another mission further in the game.

This mission, once you have cleared out all of the anti-tank teams, you are to defend a marked position at the south end of the village you just took control over.

It is the 3rd mission in the game. It comes after the mission where you drop in at night and take out the enemy S.A.M. and Radar sites.

The mission is called United We Stand.

I have the game and recently beat it on Hardcore. Great game after they patched it. Multiplayer is still rough around the edges. I am familiar with the mission you are talking about. By far the hardest part is clearing out the town and then repelling the counterattack. GOOD LUCK!

Seriously though, if you want to team up and beat in in coop, I would enjoy that. My gamertag is tigerbait1981 (xbox). I can do it mostly any night after 8 PM.

i rented it a few weeks back. yeah its freaking hard. i had to return it before i could beat it.

i beat the last part of that mission by putting one of my men on the machine guns and moving the rest of us to the house. you'll sacrifice whoever you put on the gun, but if your not on hardcore you'll get him back. all you have to do is kill enough men and they will retreat. good luck. took me a lot of tries.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll try the machine gun thing tonight and moving my men into the house to the left of the gun nest.
