with Meyers stepping down, does that make Miles the 2nd best coach in the SEC?

He could be the only SEC coach with a BCS ring.

Fixed it for you. That's a more relevant question.

Yeah, he's 2nd best in conference now. Other than Saban who would you put in front of him?

Not a Miles basher, but I wouldn't even argue for this. Even Nutt, who I have little respect for has won the last three vs Les Miles.

Is Harbough a better coach than Carrol?

Is the head coach of Navy a better coach then Wei...nevermind.

If you go by his record...yes, Miles is the 2nd best coach in the SEC.

If you go by his jump/skipping chearleading at the end of the OM game, I'd say he's not even as good as Ty Willingham.

Actually you can't do that -

When it is convenient , only the SEC wins/losses shall be used - and if that is not working - only a certain time frame say 2 years of SEC w/l shall be used.
Heck if all else fails - the interview mannerisms and public speaking shall be used to show how pathetic your arguments are!!!!

If you go by past record LSU won't play in another SEC Championship game while Les Miles is the coach right? Can he overtake Bama now that Saban is at full strength? Not if you go by record. Go by Miles record the last 2 years right which means more than the previous years.

There is no such thing as the best or second best coach in the SEC.

Being the so called best coach in the SEC or SEC West and couple of dollars will get you cup of coffee.

Miles has LSU football at its pinicle of success and talent level.

Miles has endured two seasons with extreme inexperience at QB for the bast couple of years and the Negatigers want to pretend otherwise.

As the QB spot improves with playing experience, our offense will dramatically improve.

Time and talent is on Miles' side, and against all the Miles Bashers.

With UM resigning, Miles is now the 11th best coach in the SEC. Once a successor is named at Florida, he will fall back to 12th.

Excellent post! What you fail to realize however, is that you cannot reason with some of these dumb SOB's! God could be coaching LSU right now and have the same record as Miles and these dumb fricks would still be complaining! What cracks me up is why aren't these "know it alls" coaching college football.
I'm going to really laugh my arse off when Miles makes it to the SEC championship game again! Then these dumb asses will be complaining because we didn't win with enough style and grace or someone maybe gets a first down agains us! Some of these folks just have the attitude of "my poop doesn't stink" but everyone else's does.
