That's a retarded assumption. Odds are they all at least played little league sports. Even if they didn't, I don't see why you have to have played sports to be able to comment about them.
I actually like Greenberg, and I think he could be Costas good if he got a chance to do something like that.

Ok, I overstated my point a little. I just think he's holding himself back a little by doing the morning show with Golic, who I'm not quite sure how or why he was given the job he has.

I find most former athletes to be terrible announcers. Tim McCarver and Joe Morgan spring to mind. I do actually like Aikman, though.
The Bob Davie/Mark Jones (?) combo on ESPN2 is downright brutal. They suck. Since the thread started with commentators, I submit that Bayless, Plaschke, and Mariotti are the three worst sports columnists in the country and it offends me they are on TV.
