I havent been to Baton Rouge in awhile but I am going to go home for Christmas this year and am looking for a prime rib roast to buy for my family. Does anyone know of a place with a quality prime rib roast? thanks everyone and merry christmas and

Sams is great for beef and they sell a great prime rib, just know that it is USDA Choice (which is better than most supermarkets) and I have always been pleased, if you are looking for PRIME grade, the best place would be redi portion on senic hwy, also Calalndros and maxwells market would have them but I would call any of them in advance. I like the standing rib roast and have the butcher cut and tie for me, any of the above places will be happy to do this.

Redi Portion is on Choctaw.

Call Calandro's or Albertson's and tell them what you want and they will have it. I do the same having the butcher cut and tie. Albertson's does well and really to me Choice is good for this piece. Prime has too much fat for my taste.
